Getting Started

1) Install the app

Beta installs are shared directly with testers. If you don’t have a download link yet, request access from the person who invited you.

2) Launch Newswire

On first run you may see macOS prompts (network access, etc.). Approve them.

3) Connect NYT

Newswire can capture and render New York Times article snapshots.

  • In the app, click the NYT connect icon in the toolbar (top-right).
  • Complete the login flow in the NYT window.

Once connected, you should be able to open article snapshots in the reader canvas.

If you want the detailed explanation (including the connector alternative), see Connect Your NYT Account.

4) Ask a question

Start with a concrete prompt:

  • “Tell me about today’s news.”
  • “What’s the latest on Greenland and Denmark?”
  • “What are the key arguments on both sides of this policy debate?”

Newswire surfaces relevant NYT coverage and helps you reason carefully from sources.

5) Save to your Reading List

When you see an article you want to keep, add it to your Reading List. The list is designed to be lightweight: save, return later, and compare articles over time.
