NYT connection issues

If the app says it can’t retrieve articles:

  1. Try reconnecting your NYT session.
  2. Reload the app window.
  3. If the issue persists, copy diagnostics and report it.

“Continue with Google” / passkeys / Bluetooth loops

Some NYT sign-in paths use passkeys. If you get stuck:

  • Click Try another way and sign in with a password/backup method.
  • Enable Bluetooth on your Mac (some passkey flows require it).

Connector issues (browser mode)

If you’re using the hosted UI in a browser with the Newswire Connector:

  • Extension not reachable: ensure it’s installed/enabled, then reload Newswire.
  • Needs authorization: click Connect to Newswire again.
  • Still failing: remove and reinstall the extension, then reconnect.

Blank article / snapshot doesn’t load

This is usually one of:

  • The URL is not supported for snapshot capture.
  • The session is expired and needs a reconnect.
  • The snapshot service timed out.

Try again once. If it repeats, report it with diagnostics.

Include:

  • What you tried to do
  • What you expected
  • What happened instead
  • “Copy Diagnostics” output (from the Help menu)
